So Once in a while I just randomly disconnect from whatever server Im on and its getting really annoying. Im not going to go through all the details but i heard you can deactivate Ip flood detection or something. Im using the Thomson TG789vn router/modem and cant seem to find it, any help?
Hi @cakeman
It seems a little bit difficult to find the 'ip flood detection' in this router.
In this web threres is only a reference to the firewall page:
http://screenshots.portforward.com/rout ... rewall.htm
It seems the configuration goes selecting a level... but no more 'images' for that.
I've found this manual:
http://www.google.es/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=t ... dpartner.c om%2Fgetfile.php%3Fid%3D6994&ei=yJ3ET_34DpK5hAek5vyaCg&usg=AFQjCNGaK3EfI8f4KSea3cjRagitb4-4xw
and in page 72 (searchin 'firewall') it's said:
The Thomson Gateway comes with an integrated firewall. This firewall has a number of predefined levels to
allow you to adjusted the firewall to your needs.
The Firewall is disabled by default.
In the manual there isn't more details about the options.
Probably your router has other level that 'Disable'.
Try selecting 'Disable' and tell us the result.
Good luck.
