Hi everyone! Hello @Arseniy-K ! I have the same problem. I bought my iPhone 12 Pro brand new in a box with a receipt in Lviv on April 9, 2021. The phone worked perfectly until yesterday, when I got a message saying it had been blocked (lost/stolen) by the operator Telia. This happened right after I updated to iOS 18, since I hadn’t used the phone for six months.

I bought a genuine, unlocked phone that worked fine for years, and only now it got blocked. This really looks like a scam from the mobile operator. Since similar cases have happened with different phones in different countries (not just Ukraine — there are other reports), it can’t be that phones are regularly “stolen” from this operator and resold in other countries as brand new, in full packaging with original stickers.

I’m so sorry to hear that You have this same problem. Have You tried to contact the original reseller and ask about this situation. The retailer could verify that the phone was acquired through legal means, if it is so.
The phone must have been in a package when it was stolen, so it could have been resold in the original package and as a new. There’s no reason to believe that these are scams, Telia doesn’t lock phones for fun, that’s sure. I really hope that You can resolve this somehow with the reseller. 🙏🏻

It’s always a risk to buy a phone from an unofficial retailer or private person. Stolen devices are around there. Those are stolen from shops, just like this: https://yle.fi/a/74-20159755?origin=rss
Some burglars went trough store’s roof and stole premium phones. That happened in Finland.

But if you run a Google search with term: “inbrottstjuvar telia butik” which is “burglary telia shop” , you can find many news about burglaries in various Telia stores around Sweden.

Even though wrappers are still in place, it doesn’t verify that the phone is legitimately obtained.
