Apple Watch for Kids - stuck with the setup

Hey everyone, 

Following this announcement, 

we purchased a new Apple Watch with cellular support along with the dedicated subscription.

The device paired successfully via Family Setup, but activating the cellular connection on the watch has not gone smoothly. We followed the steps here: https://www.telia.fi/asiakastuki/laitteet/apple-watch-lapselle#kelloliittyma-muut since we, as parents, are using Telia Business subscriptions and tried using one as the primary phone during activation. Unfortunately, no success so far.

Using the watch’s IMEI number, the Telia store personnel pushed the network settings manually. For a moment, the watch displayed “Telia FI” as the provider, but the network status stays “offline/disconnected,” and calls are not going through. Device has been restarted multiple times. A long chat with customer support initially led to some confusion with “multi-SIM,” and they suggested a new parallel connection. Later, they recommended contacting “Telia Helppi,” which appears to be a paid support service.

Before going down that route — does anyone know how this could be solved otherwise? Any suggestions or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies for the delayed response! I just replied to you in the other thread as well. Is the situation still the same as when you wrote your messages, meaning the activation still hasn’t succeeded? I’ve forwarded your messages internally, and we’re looking into what might be causing the issue. I’ll return here to the Telia Yhteisö with an update as soon as I have more clarity.
