iPhone 3Gs unable to activate

Hello,

I have iPhone 3gs, which I am unable to activate through iTunes. I was wondering if you could unlock it for me as I dont have no active contract anymore.
The phone was bought from Finland Sonera by my friend which I bought from him. I did IMEI check and it states that there is currently no active contract and it shoul be unlocked. So everything should be fine, but it doesent let me activate the phone not through itunes or either wifi.
It says: "Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable."
My IMEI is 012154002128065.
I would be really thankful if you could help me with this issue somehow!

    Hi Taffinaff!

    This IMEI You just gave us is unlock. It might be that Apple has some problems on their server and that's why finally unlocking will not succeed right now. Interruptions usually last for a few hours so You have to try unlocking little bit later. Unfortunately we can't do it for You.
