I have struggled for months with a problem, not least of all getting to this point where there is NO HELP of any kind in English. You are very fortunate to have a country of 100% pure Finnish speakers. Or is the help only intended for Finnish speakers? I was able to fill out the application in English then the final question was in Finnish! Kirjautumisen varmennus: *Kuinka paljon on viisi plus yhdeksän? I answered 14 but that was the wrong answer. It told me the number couldn't be above 12 so fine, I told them 5+9 is 12. Very secure indeed. Now after weeks of work to get this far the whole 'help' area is in Finnish only. I suppose I could handle it if I could just get some HELP!

HELP!!! My Sonera mail account bounces mail that I send to addresses on a regular basis. Mostly to yahoo addresses but to others as well, sometimes 5-10 a day. I have no way of knowing if people have received my mail or not unless they answer it. This is a real problem since my email is not just a trivial hobby.
If the only possible answers are in Finnish only (I know this is Finland) then I will take them because this problem has been going on way too long.

Frustratingly yours,
Cynde
You told that you have got often somekind of bounce message after you have tried to send email. Could you give us an example of one of these bounce messages? This example could give us clue about the reason of the problem.

If you copy-paste bounce message here, you should remove all email addresses and IP-address information from the message.

You can also send information of your problem to our fault investigation with this fault situation form. In order to use the form, you need to log in with you Sonera Broadband -connection's username and password. There is also english language option at the form.

I'll try to fund that other page you mentioned.
Here are two addresses I use almost every day and a typical bounce from a Yahoo address:

I tried to get into the page with the link you put in your mail. The page refused entrance. I find it very upsetting that I may need a PhD in computer science to break you code into 'customer care' for reporting faults.

It seems that you are using a different smtp server than Sonera's. If you are using it through port 25, that is not possible. Through port 25 you can only use Sonera's smtp server mail.inet.fi . If you still want to use the other smtp server, you need to find out, if it supports ssl and if yes, through which port. Other than that, with a Sonera's internet connection, you can use mail.inet.fi as your smtp server through port 25.

As far as I know I am using Sonera's smtp server mail.inet.fi . I just checked it. I don't know about any other.
P.S. I'm using the Microsoft default port 25. I just checked that, too.

I gave you the wrong instructions earlier, sorry about that. The problem seems to be that for whatever reason, Senderscore, which the recipients isp uses to block spam, has blacklisted our smtp server. Our abuse department has contacted Senderscore and we are waiting for their reply. Hopefully we will get our server whitelisted as soon as possible.

Wow, thanks! So there is hope in the future for me to send mail to yahoo addresses. This is great since so many people have yahoo addresses. Thanks for responding. I had given up.
