Have you checked the router management page, typically http://192.168.8.1/ or http://192.168.100.1/ for any error messages?
Did you remember to enter the pin code of the sim card to router management page? Or better yet, just turn the pin code request off. If you cannot figure out how to do this on the router management page, put the sim card into a phone once again, turn pin code request off and return the sim to the router.
Have you made sure, that the APN setting is internet? Some older Saunalahti Prepaid Nettiasema routers might have internet.saunalahti as preset, which does not work with Telia sim. The new setting for both Saunalahti and Telia is internet.
Are you sure that the Elisa router is not sim locked to Elisa/Saunalahti? Finnish operators have mostly stopped sim-locking their devices, but some old obscure products might still hang around locked.
Do I need a special router SIM card?
No, both Telia Prepaid puhelimeen and Telia Prepaid netti work fine in routers. The only difference is that Prepaid netti is a bit more expensive sim, as it is intended to be sold with a bundled router.
I have used myself Telia Prepaid puhelimeen with for example Huawei B593, B315 and Teltonika RUT550 routers.
