Hello there!

I'm sure this question would 've been asked before, my search could n't bring any, so asking again.

Is it possible to convert (Port) a Prepaid subscription from Saunalahti to Telia on a normal monthly subscription like Postpaid? Thinking of two possible routes

  1. Convert the subscription to Postpaid already with  Saunalahti and then switch the contract to Telia
  2. Convert Saunalahti Prepaid directly on to Telia monthly subscription.

Do n't want to loose the number which has been used in many places.

Thanks!

key aspect belongs to elisa, rather than telia.

if you have elisa “latausliittymä”, then yes, it is ordinary phone number transfer.

if you have elisa “prepaid”, then no.

and those two products are different plans. don’t get confused by language.

elisa “latausliittymä” is transferable normally. (of course assuming in case of postpaid, good credit, finnish id number and finnish address).

I am sorry, but Saunalahti Prepaid cannot be changed over into anything else. It is really the single use only prepaid in Finland.

Should you have had Telia or Dna Prepaid and you still know the PUK key, that is carved on the full sized sim card frame, then your first plan would have been valid. Telia and Dna prepaids can be upgraded into an invoiced subscription. After the upgrade, number porting becomes possible.

Like @lasselusse already wrote, Saunalahti Latauslittymä numbers are readily portable to another operator. Latausliittymä is a prepaid with contract, a unique type of service in Finland. There used to be two other similar services, Tele2 and Dna Arvo, but those have been discontinued a long time ago.

Appreciate your responses @lasselusse @irritus, seems I’m stuck with Saunalahti Prepaid
